Shraddha Kapoor was born on March 03, 1989, in Mumbai, India to Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kolhapure Kapoor. She was raised during a mixed ethnic family, from father side she may be a Punjabi decent and Marathi ancestry from mother side. this is often a cinematic family where most of her associated with media arena including father, mother, and brother. She aspired to become a singer and got training from maternal grandfather.

Shraddha Kapoor started her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School then she admitted into the American School of Bombay, in her schooling, she played handball and soccer. Finally, Shraddha Kapoor enrolled at the Boston University, United State and she or he left the university to cast in debut movie.

Shraddha Kapoor made her acting debut within the movie Teen Patti in 2010 with co-actor Amitabh Bachchan where she played a task of a university girl, the movie wasn't so triumphant one but she was nominated for the award of Filmfare Best Female Debut.

Following the year, she signed for the movie Lun Ka the top where she played a task as a teenage student and therefore the movie received mixed reviews from the critics. Then Shraddha acted within the blockbuster movie Aashiqui 2, during this movie she played a task as small-town bar singer but turned herself into a famous playback singer by the assistance of popular male singer.
